Eric Boigelot graduated magna cum laude from the University of Brussels (Université Libre de Bruxelles) and obtained an additional master in economic law. He has been a member of the Brussels Bar since 1982.

His career developed through:

legal education:

  • he teaches “Conférence au Mastère en gestion fiscale” at the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management since 1993;
  • he is a professor in the professional training course for lawyers, organized by the Brussels Bar since 1994;
  • he was a teaching assistant in civil procedure at the University of Brussels (Université Libre de Bruxelles) from 1992 until 2008.

scientific activities:

  • he was a speaker at several scientific colloquia, study days and seminars;
  • he is the author of several publications in tax law, in particular “Fiscalité des cadres et dirigeants d’entreprises”, published by Larcier (529p.)

activities as a lawyer:

  • as a lawyer in judicial and extrajudicial disputes, in direct or indirect tax-related issues, as well as commercial, civil and corporate cases;
  • as a lawyer charged with advisory work (in tax law, corporate law, commercial law and civil law) and regarding estate and succession planning;
  • as a renowned mediator in civil and commercial law.

  • he was a member of the board of the Brussels Young Bar Association during the judicial year 1989-1990;
  • he was the treasurer of the Brussels Young Bar Association during the judicial year 1990-1991;
  • he was a founding member of “Cahiers de Droit Judiciaire” and the editorial secretary during the judicial year 1990-1991;
  • he was a member of the French speaking section of the Brussels Bar Association from September 1st, 1996 until August 31st, 1999).
